Business Office Associate

Basic Functions

Assists patients, visitors, providers and office staff in a courteous and friendly manner. Performs all duties efficiently and timely, while maintaining a positive patient flow. Serves as an office liaison when required.

Provides front line duties and support in a physician practice/outpatient setting. Registers patients for office visits, collects payment for services rendered and completes all insurance billing and/or follow up on patient account. Serve as office liaison when required. This position involves direct patient association. Check in/check out. Schedule office appointments. Verify insurance. Answer phones. Enters patient data into computer.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a related field that involves administrative support and customer service activities or successful completion of a Medical Office Administrative Assistant certificate program.
  • General knowledge of medical ethics and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical insurance, ICD-9 and CPT coding preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks in a pressured environment.
  • Proficient computer skills with emphasis on accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse population, handles stressful situations and critical thinking skills.
  • Medical Terminology
  • 2+ years experience in a medical setting, insurance environment, or related field.

Clinical Research Nurse PN

Basic Functions

Responsible for data collection, reporting and management of patient information as it relates to clinical trials. Oversee all clinical operations related to conduct of the clinical trial (i.e. informed consent, procedure, visit coordination. Seeks out potential clinical trial opportunities for the oncology practice. Organizes study team to ensure all clinical areas are represented. Works with study team to ensure trial preparedness. Organizes and officiates investigator meetings and other meetings as necessary. Develops collection and reporting methods. Develops and maintains tracking tools. Develops or improves methods to meet study objectives.

Qualifications
  • Current South Carolina license as a Registered Nurse; BSN preferred.
  • Master's degree in a clinical field or health administration preferred.
  • General knowledge of medical ethics and confidentiality.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of nursing or other clinical experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years quality improvement (QI) experience preferably in a medical setting.

Mammography Technologist-PN

Basic Functions

Works independently to perform digital screening mammography imaging based on hospital policies and practice standards, under the supervision of the interpreting physician. Must demonstrate an understanding of breast anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Must maintain accuracy in breast positioning, exposure techniques, and image evaluation while adhering to radiation protection and safety standards. Must understand the federal regulations governing mammography practice in order to meet the standards for the performance of breast imaging. Must have knowledge of the quality assurance policies and quality control testing for mammography within federal regulation guidelines.

Qualifications
  • Associates Degree or graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Must possess and maintain current CPR certification.
  • General knowledge of medical ethics and confidentiality.
  • Must have and maintain current biennium ARRT continuing education credits.
  • Must have personal computer skills and be able to perform required functions in current hospital computer system and PACS.
  • One (1) year experience in mammography setting as a registered mammography technologist performing digital screening imaging and weekly, daily, quarterly and semi-annual QC testing and records.
